Telehealth is receiving therapy and counseling via phone and/or video call. It is proven to be as effective as in-person therapy. And, telehealth therapy gives you a greater deal of flexibility and comfort that in-person sessions don’t always provide.
I offer in-person sessions at my office in Syracuse, NE for existing telehealth clients only who periodically want or need to see me face-to-face.
I am currently only offering phone and video Telehealth services to new and potential clients. I use a secure video conferencing platform created for therapists to ensure your confidentiality.
This service is not available during onboarding and must be scheduled at least one (1) month in advance.

Private Pay
A 60-minute therapy session is $174.
However, I desire to make my services available to those in need and thus offer a sliding fee as well, based on income and affordability.
I will discuss payment options with you at the time of your initial consultation. Private payments can be made through the client portal and must be received at the time of service.

My physical office is located at 995 12th St Syracuse, NE. I am in the "Burr & Associates" building. You can access my office from the outside steps that go downstairs on the south side of the building. You will see the downward steps from the south parking lot. This entrance goes directly into my office, and thus, is a completely confidential way of meeting with me since this is a shared building with other businesses. I am only providing therapy through telehealth at this time so you will not need to meet at my office unless you are a current client who is needing to see me face to face. All face to face sessions will be scheduled at least one month in advance.
I see people of all age ranges, races, ethnicities, and genders; providing both individual and couples therapy. For toddlers and young children at a lower developmental level, telehealth is not always an appropriate and/or effective way to meet; therefore, I will generally meet with this age range in person, if available to do so.
Once it is determined you are a client, I will request a copy of your insurance card and driver's license/ID for the file and send you a link to my client portal system, MYIO. You will be given the option to download the MYIO app onto your phone, if you choose. Once you sign up for MYIO, you will be asked for your demographic information. After you fill in your demographic info, I will send you my intake paperwork through MYIO. Once you complete the intake paperwork, we will schedule our first therapy session.
During your first session I will be asking you a lot of questions to gain knowledge on the symptoms you are experiencing, in addition to what you are looking to get out of therapy. I will likely start an initial diagnostic interview to assess for symptomology and gather historical information to help me develop the best treatment plan for you. Expect the first session to be filled with a lot of questions! If there is something you are needing to process immediately with me, I encourage you to communicate this at the beginning of the session so I can ensure time is carved out for that.
I generally like to meet with clients once weekly on the same day and at the same time each week. Sometimes clients come to me needing a higher or lower level of care, in which we may meet twice/week or less than once/week. If you feel that either of these fit for you, let me know, and we will determine together what is the best approach for you moving forward.
I will give you the option of meeting me via video conference or phone. If you choose to do our sessions over the phone, I will call you when the session starts. If you choose to do our sessions over video conference, you will use my video conferencing platform through my client portal system, MYIO. You can access your session through the MYIO app on your phone or on your desktop computer. MYIO is completely secure and created for therapists, meeting all regulatory privacy practices and guidelines.
Telehealth has proven to be a highly effective form of therapy. When you get into your telehealth session via video conference, you will be put in a "waiting room" until I admit you. Once admitted, you will see my face on your phone or computer screen. For phone sessions, I will call you at the time of our appointment. We will carry on as we normally would in a face to face setting. There are no differences in meeting through telehealth versus face to face except for my actual physical presence. Sometimes clients may need a higher level of care, in which my presence is required. In these cases, I will refer out or we will schedule a face to face session in advance to ensure my availability.
Each therapeutic journey is unique, and thus, I do not put a cap on services. We will review your goals and objectives on a regular basis to keep track of your treatment progress to help us determine if and when you are ready for discharge. There are many factors to take into consideration when determining discharge, including goal progress, fit, stabilization, confidence level, and overall feel for what the future holds.
Absolutely. I look at therapy as a lifelong relationship, and I am here to help you navigate all that life brings, in every season you find yourself in.
Yes! I take private pay. I charge $174 per 60 minute session, but I will work with you on finding a rate and therapy schedule that is feasible for you if that is too high.
Yes! But please check with me first because I am constantly working on becoming credentialed with new insurance carriers. Don't trust that the list on my website is complete, as it is ever evolving. If after you contact me and discover that I am still not credentialed with your insurance carrier, I will work with you on a private pay rate that we both feel comfortable with if my starting rate of $174 per 60 minute session is too high for you.
I will need a copy of your insurance card and driver's license/ID for the file so that I can bill your insurance carrier for your sessions. Once received, I will look you up to verify eligibility. Once verified, I will bill for each session through my clearinghouse. You don't need to do a thing except let me know if your eligibility status changes.

I'm so glad you asked! If your mind, body, or any other aspect of your core self is being affected by your emotions, thoughts or actions, and life has become a struggle, therapy is such a beautiful place to start. You deserve to live a life where you thrive and not just survive. It's one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.
